ABOUT THE THERAPIST
About Melissa Haney
Life has a way of surprising us, doesn’t it? Sometimes, things don’t go as planned. Old wounds resurface, and we find ourselves reflecting on how things could be different. Maybe you're feeling like you just can’t keep going like this. Perhaps you're recognizing a familiar pattern—this isn’t the first time life has taken an unexpected turn, leaving you wondering, “How did I end up here again?”
I understand where you are because I’ve been there myself. In the midst of midlife, I found myself feeling unhappy, dissatisfied, and distressed, despite all my efforts to create a “good life.” That’s when I took a step I hadn’t taken before - pushing through my fear and anxiety, I walked into a therapist’s office. It changed everything for me.
Now, as a trauma therapist, I’m here to offer that same kind of transformative support. But I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. You’re complex, with your own unique story, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering safety, insightful questions, and practical tools that resonate with your experience.
If you're looking for counseling that truly speaks to your needs, I’m here to help. Together, we can:
Navigate the impact of childhood trauma
Shift the patterns in your relationships
Manage symptoms of CPTSD
Work through anxiety, grief, sadness, and lack of motivation
Quiet the critical inner voice and discover inner peace
